Stack Tower
Drop sliding blocks to build the tallest tower you can.
How to play Stack Tower
Stack Tower is a one-button timing game. A block slides back and forth above your tower. Drop it at the right moment to place it on top. Every block you place makes the tower one floor taller.
Goal
Build the tallest tower you can. Each block you place is worth 1 point. Your best height is saved in this browser.
Controls
- Press Space, Enter or the Down arrow, click the game, or tap the screen. The first press starts the game.
- Each press drops the sliding block onto the tower.
- Press P or Esc, or use the Pause button, to stop. The game also pauses when you switch tabs.
Cutting and perfect drops
Any part of the block that hangs over the edge is cut off and falls away. The next block is only as big as the part that stayed, so the tower gets narrower when you miss your timing.
If the block lands almost exactly on the one below, it is a perfect drop. Nothing is cut and a ring of light flashes. Land three or more perfect drops in a row and the block starts to grow back, a little with each perfect drop, up to its starting size.
Getting harder
Blocks slide in from alternating sides. With every floor they move a little faster, until they reach a top speed. The colour of the tower shifts as it rises, and the view climbs with it.
End of the game
The game ends when a block misses the tower completely. The view pulls back to show your whole tower. For another quick game, try Block Puzzle or Sky Hop.
Strategy tips
- Watch the edges, not the middle. Line up the front corner of the sliding block with the corner of the tower below.
- Learn the rhythm. Each block takes the same time to cross the tower. Count the beat and press on it.
- Chase streaks early. Blocks are slow at the start, which is the easiest time to land perfect drops and keep the tower wide.
- A small cut is fine. Do not panic after one miss. Focus on the next drop and try to win the size back with a streak.
- Stay calm when it is narrow. A thin tower is harder, but a narrow block is also easier to see against the one below.
