Road Crossing
Hop forward across busy roads, rivers and railway tracks.
How to play Road Crossing
Road Crossing is an endless hopping game. You guide Bun, a small cube-shaped bunny, as far forward as you can. The world is built from rows called lanes. Some lanes are safe grass, others are busy roads, rivers or railway tracks. New lanes appear forever, so there is no finish line.
Goal
Get as far forward as possible. You score 1 point for every new row you reach. Your best score is saved in this browser.
Controls
- Press the arrow keys or W A S D to hop one square up, down, left or right. Space also hops forward.
- On a phone, tap the game to hop forward, or swipe in any direction. The arrow buttons under the game work too.
- Trees and rocks block your way. Hop around them.
- Press P or Esc, or use the Pause button, to stop the game. It also pauses when you switch tabs.
The lanes
- Grass is always safe to stand on.
- Roads carry cars, trucks and buses. Each lane moves at its own speed. Wait for a gap, then hop.
- Rivers are deadly to touch. Hop onto a floating log and ride it. Do not let it carry you off the edge of the screen.
- Railway tracks look empty, but a fast train comes now and then. Red lights flash and a bell rings just before it arrives.
Keep moving
After your first hop, the view slowly moves forward on its own. If Bun falls off the bottom of the screen, the run ends. The bottom edge glows red when you are close to it.
End of the run
The run ends if a car or train hits you, you land in the water, or the screen catches up with you. The lanes get busier and faster the farther you go. Every lane is built so there is always a safe way forward. For another quick game, try Desert Runner or Snake.
Strategy tips
- Watch the lane ahead, not your feet. Decide your next hop while you wait on safe grass.
- Hop just after a car passes. The space behind a car is the safest place on the road.
- Ride logs toward the middle. If a log drifts toward an edge, hop forward or sideways before it carries you away.
- Trust the lights. When the railway lights flash, wait until the train has gone. Trains are long and very fast.
- Do not waste time. Short pauses are fine, but the screen keeps moving. Use waits to plan, then go.
Road Crossing FAQ
Is Road Crossing like Crossy Road or Frogger?
It uses the same classic idea of crossing busy lanes. Road Crossing is its own game with an original mascot, endless lanes and its own rules for logs and trains.
How do I play on a phone?
Tap the game to hop forward, or swipe up, down, left or right. You can also use the arrow buttons under the game.
Why did the game end when I was standing still?
After the first hop the view moves forward slowly. If you stay in one place too long, the bottom of the screen catches up with you.
Is my best score saved?
Yes. Your best score is saved in this browser. A run in progress is not saved, but it pauses when you switch tabs.
